Blogs appearing as Pages and/or vice versa?

  Having a nightmare getting this working.

  I have a static home page. Fine. I’ve written another (static) page, which appears as a child page of that. Fine. But then, that child page ALSO appears as a Blog, under my “Recent Posts” … whereas I only really want Blogs under “Recent Posts”.

  Anyone?

  From what i see on your site. You have created a

  Page as well as Post with the same title.

  The Page – https://petercrosbiedotnet.wordpress.com/home/about/ – does not contain image

  The post does – https://petercrosbiedotnet.wordpress.com/2016/01/25/music-pre-production-services/

  Delete the post. and add the image within the page.
