Blog's edit button is available online to anyone?
-
Dear WordPress,
Please Help! My blog edit buttons seem to be available online! Yikes, when my blog is linked from online, anyone is able to get into the edit buttons and have access to content. Please help. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I just went to your blog and couldn’t see edit button on any posts. I even tried to follow your blog and still nothing.
No edit button anywhere.

Thanks for checking it out goblin crazy. I did notice when I am logged out of WordPress, and I google my blog, then there is no edit button. However, if I am logged in, and find my blog via search engine, then the edit button is alive and active for anyone that happens to find my blog at that time. Sometimes I am logged on for a while reading other blogs and this concerns me.

No, the edit button is not active for anyone who visits your blog. It is only visible to you when you are logged in. If you visit other WordPress blogs, you will not see their edit buttons.

The only ones that see the edit link are those that have edit privileges for your blog – WordPress.COM remembers you and sets a cookie so if you visit your site while logged in you have edit rights –

Thanks thebirdingbunch, and auxclass for taking the time to respond. It must be like auxclass says, when I am logged in, but not using my site or even on WordPress, but online, if I check out my blog via Google, and use the Google link, it must just connect me to my site with my edit capabilities. But that doesn’t mean anyone else going via Google, will get the site with the edit buttons, while I am logged on. I know I panicked because I was not on WordPress, but logged in and my friend told me he saw my edit buttons. Maybe I misunderstood him in my own confusion because I saw my edit buttons through the Google link.
