As WordPress updates/changes the look of their pages like reader, site stats, etc., some of the blogs that I have followed for months have disappeared from my list and i no longer receive posts from them. I have had to relocate and refollow them. Also, when in the list by date followed they are totally NOT in the order in which I followed them. Why are these things changing when you guys update the look of the pages??

When blogs i follow are in date subscribed order they are NOT in the order in which I subscribed. Wondering why?

Did you click the button to have them display that way? I am using Firefox 20 and I can click either button to change the sort order easily and quickly.
If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:
http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
If it’s still happening, let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/ and also post any error reports you get.

Here’s the thing–I can easily change the order to either “date followed” or “alphabetical”–no problem at all.
The problem is when in “date followed”, they are not displayed in the order of the date I followed them.
And last time the design of the page changed several blogs that I am following were left off the list and out of the reader.

We made a few tweaks recently which may have affected the order of existing subscriptions by date, I haven’t heard that it removed subscriptions yet, but I suppose that is possible.
The good news is, it will never happen again.

Thanks–I wondered if it was something I had done. Recently downloaded iPad app. Thought I may have disrupted things–it all happened around the same time.
