  I have just added a list of blogs I follow to my blog without any problems, but am having problems adding one particular blog.

  I keep getting a message ‘you do not have access to that blog’ . Can anyone help me to figure out why this is happening. The blog I am trying to follow is :-

  http://shannonselin.com/blog/

  That blog isn’t hosted on wordpress.com, so we can’t really help you with that. I tried adding it to my follow list in the reader as well and got the same error. My guess is the blog doesn’t have an RSS feed that’s compatible with the Reader. You only option if you want to follow it is to use the subscribe link that appears on that blog itself.

  Sorry should have added that it wasn’t on WordPress. I’ve managed to add others that aren’t on WordPress, so expected this one to work the same way. Many thanks for the response though, I will go back to the person whose website it is and see if anything can be changed at their end to allow it.

  I’m still struggling with this. The technical person who deals with this blog has tried everything – see email from him – can anyone else offer any help please, otherwise I shall have to abandon the idea.

  work then clearly something else is at issue…’

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry for the trouble you had following this blog. I just added http://shannonselin.com/ to the blogs I follow and it worked for me. Can you try using the URL http://shannonselin.com/ instead of http://shannonselin.com/blog/ and see if that works for you?

  Not a problem, it seems to be resolved this morning, not sure what you’ve done, but I know you’ve looked at Shannon’s old WP account and for some reason it now seems to work – excellent – many thanks. :)
