Blogs I follow
-
Display the Names of the Blogs I follow under this widget with a link-back to those Blogs. How do I physically add links/titles of blogs for the Blogs that I want to appear here?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello 2passionate!
Once you add the Blogs I Follow Widget and choose your preferred viewing method (list or grid) the widget should populate automatically with the blogs you are currently following.
Looking at your site, it seems to be working just fine! If you want to add most blogs to that list… simply follow more blogs! the newest follows will appear at the top of your list. You can also control how many blogs appear on that list by changing the “number of blogs to show” field while editing the widget.
Hopefully that helps! It’s great that you want to support other blogs that you like!

Hello!
According to this WordPress.com support document.
The Blogs I Follow Widget is an automated way to add a blogroll of sites that you follow via the WordPress.com Reader. It will list up to 50 blogs, starting with those you’ve most recently followed. (If you’d prefer to specify exactly what blogs display or would like to include non-WordPress.com site in your blogroll, use the Links widget instead.)
Check out that link for more information.
Hope that helps!

I thought that was how it is supposed to work, but I followed a Blog yesterday (not a WordPress Blog) and it did not appear. I tried using the Links widget, but cannot see how to assign the Blog I want to appear under Blogs I Follow. Thanks for your help.

Oh, and if your link widget doesn’t look like the one pictured in the link above, check and see if you’re using one of the themes listed at the bottom of that page!

Hi!
For non-WordPress.com blogs, or specific blogs you would like to include, then use the Links Widget.
To add the blogs to the Links Widget, you need to create a ‘blogroll’ first.;
You can manage a blogroll (a set of links) using the Links menu in the WP Admin section of your Dashboard. These links will display on your blog if you have added the Links Widget.
More info on that here.
After adding links, don’t forget to add the Links Widget to your sidebar to display the links on your blog.
Instructions are on the Links Widget support page.
Hope that helps!

okay, I used Blogroll and that worked, but how do I delete the stuff I don’t want visible on my sidebar? Also, How can I delete a WordPress Blog that I no longer want to follow?
-
What are you looking to remove from the sidebar?
If it’s a particular widget, then from the menu go to Themes->Customize->Widgets->Select the widget to delete, and at the bottom of the widget, click ‘remove’.Removing a particular WordPress blog;
If it’s from the Links Widget, then remove that particular link from the ‘blogroll’.If it’s from the Blogs I Follow widget, then from the menu; Reader->Followed Sites->Manage button the click the green ‘Following’ link next to the blog you want to stop following.
Hope that helps!
