  Maybe you did not configure it properly. Here’s the guide

  Or maybe this is a widget visibility issue. We use that setting to determine which pages widgets display on. See here

  Thanks for the info… seems like I’ve got it configured correctly, but still not showing up in my sidebar. in my ‘Customizer’ panel, the text on my ‘Blogs I Follow’ widget seems greyed out versus my ‘Recent Posts’ widget. Not sure if that means anything…
