Blogum
-
Hi, I’m writing about my blog smallissa.wordpress.com. I was using the theme Blogum and have been using it since the blog’s inception. But I accidentally clicked to activate a new theme while browsing and now the theme has changed the whole blog completely and I can’t find Blogum again. Is there an Undo or Revert button?? I am very upset.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You do not need Staff help to do this.
Switching themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes can be easily done, provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site. Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You can quickly and easily change themes on any WordPress.COM hosted blog to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do a lot of work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme with different features and/or if you have done any CSS editing.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes, Browse themes until you find one you like and click the “activate” or the “preview” link, or type in the name of the theme you want to use when it appears.
The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.

Do you see the theme in the WP Admin Dashboard>Appearance>Themes? If so, you can restore it from there.
Curiously I do not see Blogum available in the New Calypso Dashboard>Themes, even on older sites, so I’ve marked this for Staff input.
However, you should perhaps consider another theme as Blogum is a retired theme and one of the reasons is that is it not responsive, meaning it doesn’t adapt its width to different screen sizes. Not being responsive actually penalizes your site in search engine returns (at least on Google).

Hi there,
That theme is retired, as @justjennifer said. Retired themes don’t appear under My Site ->Themes, but you should still be able to reactivate it from Appearance ->Themes in the WP-Admin dashboard:

I do want to echo @justjennifer’s recommendation that you look at updating to a responsive theme. Retired themes are also more likely to break as we add new features, because they are no longer maintained and aren’t a priority with bug fixes.
