Why is the header not centered anymore in Blogum?

Hi,
I’m starting a new blog, using the Blogum theme which I really like, but since yesterday there’s a problem with the header. It is supposed to be centered, but I don’t know why yesterday it started showing up a little bit to the right.
Is this happening only to me or is this a bug with the theme? And what can I do to bring it back to center?Thanks

Well, I looked and you obviously do not have the custom CSS, so it is nothing that you did and there are no glaring errors in the markup that would cause this, so this is a bug. There are two ways I can fix it with CSS, but the theme team really needs to look into this and fix it.
I’ll tag this thread for staff attention and hopefully they will get it fixed shortly.

There is a padding discrepancy between #header-image and #header. #header is at 160px while #header-image is at -105px. For the header image to be centered instead of hanging out the right side of the wrapper, the -105 needs to be changed to -160.
I certainly would not have done the header positioning the way it has been done. Doesn’t seem even close to good CSS practice.

Yes Rich, thanks, I was just going to write and apologize for the wrong reply: OP wrote “header” only, I didn’t read the question carefully, and I thought header text instead of header image…
In the mean time I checked this in my test blog: exactly the same positioning. This might be an oversight related to the previous fix.

Well, I’ve been the one not reading carefully enough lately, so take some antibiotics and some aspirins so you can keep from catching whatever it is I have.

Thanks for the answers. I’m not very familiar with CSS so I wouldn’t know where the error is. Ok so this is not only on my blog, I’m glad to know it can get fixed, hopefully it will be soon! -

That would be my guess as well. Adjusted the text title/tagline but did not have a header loaded so they did not see the issue.

It looks like you recently switched back to Blogum a couple of days ago. Is that correct?
If so, you may have been using an older version of Blogum. The current Blogum theme is designed with the header slightly off-center. You can see it in the demo page here:

We’re talking header image, not header as in site title and tagline. The demo site has no header image. The header image hangs clear outside of the container to the right.

I’m sorry I know my post was a little confusing, I didn’t specify it was the header image, it was clear for me I was talking about that but I guess not :P
I took out the image yesterday because It bothered me it wasn’t centered, but I put it back now so you can see what I mean. -
Yeah, I can’t believe they intended the header image to be offset to the right and for it to hang outside of the container/wrapper.
