Blue Screen / PC Crash with XAMPP & WordPress

  Hello all,
  I’ve got the following work environment: Notebook (1.6GHz, 504Ram) with Windows XP, Service Pack 3, Localhost-Installation with XAMPP 1.70 (apache & mysql) and WordPress 2.7.

  My Problem: After correct (3 Minutes) installation of WordPress, I try to login on the wp-login.php site (admin + password). After I click o.k., I got a Blue Screen (BSOD), my PC shuts down and re-starts. After that I got a Windows Error Message.

  Measures I did so far: Re-installation of Xampp, different browsers, etc. Nothing helped …

  So what can I do? Is is it a hardware or software problem? Please help, I’m completely stranded.
