Blue WP Bar Missing Even When Logged In
-
I’ve been having this new problem for several days across multiple computers. I’ve tried clearing my cache and cookies, restarting, and logging back in, but every visit to my site doesn’t show the blue bar at the top. However, going to WordPress.com shows that I am already logged in and the blue bar appears there.
I’m using Firefox and XP. Any ideas?

The cookie and cache dance is your first thing to try. Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, close your browser, reopen it and try again.

I’ve done that multiple times. This is happening on three different computers – two at home and one at work. I’ve tried IE7 and FF and both behave the same way. I guess I’ll have to contact support.

My two cents (I just had a quick look at the css, didn’t try it out): you formatted the header so, that it covers the blue bar. Try this:
#header{ background-image:url('http://inrepair.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/bg_header_effect.gif'); background-repeat:repeat-x; /*background-position:left top;*/ background-color:#fff; height:90px; }if it helps, then you have to work at the relative positioning of the header image.
If it doesn’t work, try inserting a blank between body and .loggedin here:
body.loggedin { margin:60px !important; } -

If you visit http://inrepair.wordpress.com/ you should see the admin bar. Renew your domain mapping and the admin bar will starting working again at your domain and all of the links will redirect.

I renewed the mapping, but I’m still having problems. I think the mapping is working properly because typing in my domain takes me to my blog. In fact, the link you posted automatically updates to my domain name as well.
I hope this resolves overnight. ;)
