Bluehost deleting my account and website

    Hi, I have transferred my website from Bluehost to HostGator. Bluehost has deleted my credentials, and nothing is left on my website. They’re blackmailing me into renewing my plan with them to have my work back. What should I do?

    I don’t think this is something that WordPress.com can assist you with considering that WordPress.com is a competitor service to Bluehost and HostGator.

    They might be able to help you out if you intend on switching your hosting provider to their services though.

    That said, if you have successfully transferred your site over to HostGator, or if you have a backup of the site, you should not need to renew your Bluehost plan. If you are interested in hosting your site here on WordPress.com we would be happy to help you transfer or restore your site if you have a backup available, or a site on HostGator.

    If you are not interested in transferring your site, then I would recommend reaching out to HostGator directly for further assistance with what may be required to recover your site. It is also worth noting that both of these providers are owned by the same company.
