Bluehost or WordPress
-
I’m not sure why I need bluehost to host my wordpress site. I’m a novice at website building. This is my first time doing this for my wife’s new business. After sigining up for everything I realized we are not working on WP but Bluehost with WP admin resources. Her business is social work so client will need to sign into a portal (third-party), submit particular forms to be hired, and submit payments. Most of the things I see for support are for a store front/ merchandise/ product sales. What is the best/practical solution to go with? And, unfortunately i’ve already created some pages so would i have to recreate them or can I migrate these things to wordpress? How?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

WordPress.com provides managed WordPress hosting, unlike shared hosts. When it comes to shared hosting, you usually get what you pay for. Here’s a great article on the benefits of managed hosting: https://wordpress.com/blog/2021/05/24/the-best-of-both-worlds-wordpress-com-managed-hosting/
WordPress comes in two flavors: WordPress.com, which you have signed up for here, and self-hosted WordPress.org. The latter is the term used for when you install the WordPress open source software onto other servers, such as Bluehost, amongst others.
Here’s a comparison chart between the two: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Quick question — where have you started building your site, and do you already have a domain name? If you’ve started building with Bluehost, it’s easy to migrate your content. Here’s how: https://transferto.wordpress.com/
With a plan upgrade, you can connect an existing domain to WordPress.com.
It’s worth noting that a new annual plan purchase includes a one-year free domain registration. You can also use this to transfer your domain to WordPress.com, extending its expiry by a year.
