Bluehost site down and no real help offered
-
I am transferring my domain name from Bluehost to GoDaddy after days of awful technical support and no resolution to our down site. Unbeknownst to me though, it is going to take 5 – 7 days for the transfer to be completed. This is what website visitors are currently seeing when they visit my site:

Apache Server at http://www.ebbettsgoodtogo.com Port 80Is there any way to at least put up a “this site is under construction” page? Can you tell me what my site is currently pointed at?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Your domain’s name servers are currently pointed to Bluehost (see: https://whois.domaintools.com/ebbettsgoodtogo.com) but you’ll need to ask in the WordPress.org forum about this, as we literally can’t help you with a self-hosted site in this forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t already have a username on WordPress.org, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum. http://wordpress.org/support/

But my site is a wordpress.com site not .org. Sorry, I thought I included that. Been trying to fix this literally since 2:00 so a little bleary-eyed.
the site is https://ebbettsgoodtogo.wordpress.com

In that case the problem is that your domain’s name servers are currently not pointing at WordPress.com, so it’s currently not mapped to your WordPress.com site. Do you have the domain mapping upgrade? You’ll need to get your name servers set back to WordPress.com so your site will appear at that domain again. https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
If that’s not possible due to the transfer that’s in progress, in the WP-Admin dashboard go to the My Domains page. Set https://ebbettsgoodtogo.wordpress.com/ as your primary domain instead of http://ebbettsgoodtogo.com/ (I don’t have direct experience with this, but I think it’s possible to do that). That should at least make your site visible at the free address until you can fix the mapping again.
If that doesn’t work, add “modlook” to the tags area to flag this for staff and wait for their reply.

Until the name servers are pointing to WordPress.COM, not much good will happen.

You seem to have purchased domain mapping but the name servers are not pointing here, note also that it can take up to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet – access to your site may be erratic during that period.
