Blurbs on Superhero theme

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi there – I’m using the Superhero theme, and am struggling to find a way to limit how much of a text post is displayed on the front page. I’ll soon be posting quite long text-based posts, and would like the front page to show (something like) 10 – 15 lines of the post, then cutting off with a “Continue Reading” link to bring up the full post.

I’ve gone to “Settings” and “Reading” and have set “For each article in a feed, show ‘Summary.'” But one longish post I have is still displaying in full…

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated! If it isn’t actually possible with Superhero, perhaps I can look for another theme.

    Thanks in advance
    Liam

That setting is for the blog feed, not your actual homepage.
To truncate the posts, you use the read-more tag:

    Aha – brilliant. Thank you!
