Blurry Header Image

  Hi,
  I’m trying to set a header image for my wordpress blog, https://ashwinisnictrek.wordpress.com/, but the header image is very blurry. I have tried resizing the picture to the suggested pixel size, and even going smaller and bigger than that size, but nothing seems to be working. The URL for the image I want to use is https://ashwinisnictrek.files.wordpress.com/2017/07/35879878021_bf3c3db71d_n.jpg
  and the theme I’m using is Karuna.

  If someone could please help me edit the image so that it doesn’t show up blurry, it would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi, @ashwinip156,

  The photo at the link you attached is teeny tiny (320 x 213). If you set it to a header that is a huge space ( )in comparison, the photo will be pixelated and blurry – it is the nature of using a small photo in a larger space.

  For the Karuna theme:

  The custom header appears at full-screen width with flexible height.

  Which is why on larger screens it will appear blurry but if you view it on a smaller device it may look fine.

  Using a photo that is relatively the same size is helpful to start.

  Do you have other photo options?

  If you scroll all the way to the bottom of your theme setup instructions https://wordpress.com/theme/karuna you’ll see a box labeled quick specs. This gives you the recommended image sizes for your specific theme.

  Thank you so much for the info and the tips @christinemaze and staff-zinnia !! I used an image that is much larger (2048 x 1363) and it worked a lot better!
