Blurry Header-Urgent help needed!
-
Hello,
For the past couple of days, I have been trying to upload a crystal-clear header image that I designed myself for my blog. No matter what I seem to do, the image seems blurry. I’ve designed the image based on the recommended pixel size, which happens to be 1440 X 500. I use the theme Booklite.
Here’s what the website looks like right now: https://encreatingculture.wordpress.com. As you can see, the header does not look good at all. It looks even worse on mobile devices. Here’s the original image, which I designed on canvas: https://www.canva.com/design/DAB1EL2-vsc/view.
In edit mode, the image looks fantastic, as well. I would upload an image through the forums, but it doesn’t look like that’s possible.I’ve created two versions of my custom header. One is made with the size of 1440 x 500 px just like the theme recommended. The problem is it shows up blurry. And the whole image doesn’t show up. The edges get cropped, even though I never cropped the image before I uploaded it.
Through fiddling around and looking at various tutorials on the internet, I made another header with the size of 1080 x 375 px. This helped a bit. One can see the whole image, but it is still blurry. Ideally, I would like the colors to pop, and for the image show up clearly on regular and retina screens.
I would appreciate any help, as I have tried so hard, and I can’t seem to fix this problem by myself.
Thank you,

I don`t see the issue you report.
Book Lite allows you to set a large custom header under Customize http://wordpress.com/customize → Header Image. Custom Header works best with an image at least 1440px wide and 500px tall.
