Blurry icons on desktop
-
When I create a thumbnail shortcut from my blog to my desktop, with MS Internet Explorer, the icon created shows my thumbnail at normal resolution. When I was forced to change to work with Google Chrome because WP would not work properly with IE, and I create the new shortcuts through Chrome, the thumbnail icons on my desktop look blurred. WP suggested to work with a third browser, Firefox, but I’m not happy with keep adding/changing browsers just to improve the resolution of thumbnail icons.
Thank you very much for any suggestion. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I see you chatted with Pam about this in live chat. The blurry icons are going to be related to the way your browser creates the shortcut on your Desktop. It’s not something we here at WordPress.com can fix.
If you’d like to chat about the problems you’re having with Internet Explorer, I can check if there are bugs we can fix. It looks like you’re a version behind in Internet Explorer. Have you tried updating?

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have the latest version updated of IE, 11 plus updates; it’s really strange because even creating shortcuts with IE, some shortcuts on the desktop keep the image, which is usually a tiny jpg, and some others don’t, and some images in the shortcuts come and go on my desktop. I don’t know what else to try, because the procedure I follow is the same for each blog. I removed all the shortcuts, created them again, with IE and with Chrome. Thanks again and I will welcome any suggestion. A.

All of this is controlled by your system and not by the websites you’re creating links to. It could be related to the size or resolution of the image that your machine is automatically grabbing.
This might be fixable, but it’s not something I can help you with here. I would suggest you talk to someone who can help you with your physical computer, like a geek squad, or if you live near a college they usually have students who work in the IT department that may be able to help.
