Blurry images in posts since switching to Sela template

I’ve switched my previous template to Sela, set up my blog so it looks good and when I was done, I noticed every single picture became a bit blurry and just not as clean as it should be.
They look clean on my phone (Samsung S9+) but blurry on my desktop. The look blurry in the post but if you open an individual image it looks perfect. Featured images appear to look fine.
What baffles me the most is that even new pictures that are being posted in new posts, turn out blurry – so not just the ones that were already up when I switched to this new template.
What I’ve tried:
– uploading different sizes and formats
– manually resizing pictures
– setting media (tumbnail, medium, large) values to 0
– …I’m on a free wordpress domain and template so I can’t upload a neat plugin to see if that would somehow help fix things.
