Blurry Photograph

  I’ve just updated a photograph on the post (Rochelle) on my blog . When I drag the corner of the image to enlarge, the image gets blurry. I have tried loading different size files, but the same thing happens. I’ve never had this problem on previous posts.

  Howdy,

  It looks like your image is currently set to its original size. Is that correct?

  If so, increasing the size on a relatively small image can make it look pixelated or blurry. You can retry modifying the size of the image by following the directions available here.

  However, keep in mind that without a larger original image, the photo may still appear blurry as you make it bigger.

  Thanks for the suggestion, evarlese. I linked to a 13.5M image (100% quality & 300ppi) from my website. When I try to enlarge the image, even a small amount, it starts getting fuzzy. I’ve used this same procedure when linking to photos on other posts, but the images have always enlarged perfectly.

  Has WordPress changed something in the last month or so?

  Hi Bronson,

  We haven’t made any recent changes to uploading images. However, when I visit the source URL for your picture, the size shows up as 200 x 126 pixels. Do you know if there were any errors when uploading to your site?

  Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve re-linked to the photo and everything looks good now. Something must have gone wrong when uploading the previous photo.
