  How can I remove the black trim above my header. Or change it’s colour?

  Removing it or changing its color requires the Custom Design upgrade. If you don’t have the upgrade you can simply switch to a different theme.

  So I would have to find a theme that has white in it and then it would be gone?

  Some themes have a border above and/or below the header image but many themes don’t. As an example, here’s the younger sibling of Twenty Ten:

  Problem is, some of the demos don’t display a header image although the theme does support the option. So, if you find a theme you like but the demo doesn’t have a header image, you need to activate the theme and add a header image to see how it looks like.
