Body of post pushed down for some reason

Hi.
My blog is webimpactconsulting.com
I recently added a new post, and there’s a button there for “leaving a comment.” I don’t want people to leave comments on my posts, yet I can’t figure out how to get rid of it.
Apparently the theme I’m using, Corporate, was recently updated, because the first two posts I made (way back in October, though I changed the dates to January) do not have this “leave a comment button” so I must have been able to prevent this button from coming up at one point.
The other problem is in the post, The Human Touch.
Now for some reason there’s a box around both the “featured image” and the post above it, and the text for *this* blog entry is pushed down about an inch.
Why, why, why? And how can I get rid of it?
Also, at one point I was able to put in a “read more” button, so that the entire post didn’t appear on the home page. Now, that option is either gone or so well hidden that I can’t find it.
Can someone please help!

Okay… I found the “more” button and also the “use excerpt” button…
But I’m still having problems. My “The Human Touch” and “Website Basics” when viewed as complete articles, have the Sidebar on the right hand side where it’s supposed to be. Remember I originally created these two posts way back in October and changed the dates on them to January tonight.
The new post, that I made tonight, does not have the Sidebar on the right hand side. Instead it’s pushed down below the article completely where it looks stupid.
Why? Why? Why?

Okay, sorry to bombard you guys with posts – figured out that if I copied an existing post it would do things properly, and it did.
But jeez this is ridiculous.

Hi there, the theme you are using Corporate is a Premium theme. There’s a lot of information on that Theme Showcase page as well as the page you arrive on when you click the Support button there.
Part of the price you paid for it gives you direct access to the theme author in a special Premium theme forum. You do need to be logged in with the username account that purchased the theme in order to post there: http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/corporate

As far as the sidebar being pushed down, it usually means there’s an open HTML tag there interfering. Hopefully this Support will help to resolve that issue: https://en.support.wordpress.com/html-troubleshooting/#fixing-a-sunken-sidebar
