Bogus Notification?
-
When I used the dropdown (word balloon button next to “New Post”), there was a notification that my current browser would no longer be supported. This notification linked to something called “browsehappy” or “browserhappy.” The notification had a black star next to it.
I’m using IE9, so I think you will probably support that for awhile.
Was this some kind of advertisement?

No, that’s from us.
Were you using IE 9 in compatibility mode? For some reason, Microsoft has decided to report IE 9 in compatibility mode as IE 7, which is of course out of date.
-
No, I wasn’t in compatibility mode. If I do, I get a big yellow warning box in the dashboard, and on my main page the little speech balloon turns into a number (0, at the moment).

Hm, I’ll get the link looked at, thanks!
Would you please take a screenshot of the notice you’re referring to an upload it via Media -> Add New so I can take a look?
-
-
It’s in the Media section in your Dashboard to the left.
See this for details: http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/media-add-new/

Ah, I thought it was on the forum page.
Here you go:
By the way, Joey Kudish is working on this.
-
That isn’t a screenshot of a browser upgrade notification.
Are you referring to a different issue?
-
This is my fault. I should have known better than to combine two issues in one thread.
The original issue was that browser upgrade notification.
When I went to give you feedback, that’s when I encountered a bad link (for feedback).
Unfortunately I can’t give you a screen shot of the browser upgrade notification. It only appeared once, and I haven’t seen it again. It had a black star next to it, and the message about upgrading my browser.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
As for the feedback link, Joey Kudish started a conversation with me via e-mail. I guess you didn’t know about that.
Sorry for the confusion.
