Bold & Italics won't work in custom theme

    I have always had a problem with my custom design page, the fault being that whenever I edit a page or post, I make text bold or italics or underline and it then i click publish and the it just goes to normal, plus it doesn’t change it to the new formatting on the page if I click refresh.
