do you mean the font style inside blockquote tags?
if so and your using the text mode of your editor
should go something like<blockquote>text paragraph
` -

i have to do all one line here, for some reason….
<blockquote><em> text </em></blockquote>you don’t have to have the tags all on the same line when you type them into the post editor.
-
Yep, this much I know.
What I don’t know in this theme (and this one only) is which code to use.blockquote { font-style: italic; }makes zero difference to the normal font. I can change the font-color, but not the style.
-
I see you have switched themes, but in Bold Life, at least looking at the demo site, the blockquotes are in italic. If you are using a custom font, that may have something to do with it, and you can try adding the !important attribute to get the italics back.

I am SO HAPPY you’re back. I’d started to think you’d gone away forever, rather than merely taking your family on a holiday.
Phew !
I gave up on just about everything CSS, knowing you weren’t around.
But now you’re back (and WELCOME, Rich !), I’ll start anew.
Heh heh …
Thank-you for responding and thus advising me of your return. But … on a FRIDAY ?

Oh, one thing, Rich me old china: what the designers have done by switching the Customization from one side of the screen to the other has almost rendered me speechless – with rage, of course.
>:(
You may even find me asking questions given rise to by stuffups caused by the swap-over …
Honestly, SOMETIMES …

The change to the customizer to to bring things more inline with the WordPress core design, which will mean that the load on our developers will be lessened (they won’t have to develop and maintain a separate customizer). In the overall scheme of things, this is going to be a really good move, but yes, it is different. The developers are still working on thing, but I think this is going to be a really good change.
Hang in there. :)

Hm. Getting this input makes me almost human again.
Nothing like having some understanding of WHY …
Chic used to tell me I was obsessed with wanting to know why, when it was usually the least important aspect of <whatever>. But it’s in my DNA, I reckon.
THANK-YOU, O wise and wonderful guru !!!! -
