BOLD NEWS THEM ISSUE (SOLUTION)
-
I everybody,
Just want to share the solution that resolved my Bold News theme’s slider issue.
After everything below has been done:1. Multiple posts, all with a “Featured Image” assigned.
2. A tag that you have noted down the tag “slug” of (this is visible in the “Post Tags” screen in the WordPress admin).
3. The “Enable Slider” checkbox checked under “Theme Options”, as well as the tag “slug” specified in the appropriate theme option.
4. Assign the selected tag to the posts mentioned in step 1.Go to the them Options and the Slider tab, and then replace the default animation speed (0.6) to 1.
It worked for me!
And by the way, for those like me, who had a hard time understanding where to find the so called ”slug”, it is the tag’s identifier in the 3rd column of the Tag windows, in your administration page.
Hopefully these hints will help.Don Felicio

thanks for this usefull post! But I still don’t get the slug thingy. I am at the tags page and i see the word “slug” with a list of things below it but do I have to change them all to the word “slug” or what? and my slider does not even show up I don’t know if that was the issue with you too?

Well,
1. First, at the tags page, you create a new tag and name it ”featured”.
2. Then you go to the Theme options page, and get to the Slider options settings. In the case below Slider tag, you write ”featured”. at this same page, you increase the animation speed to 1. The sliders entries should be maximize to 19. You save the new settings.3. Then you to go and start a new post. On the new post editing page, on the right column, you can set the category of the post (you should have a list of categories of your own, showing up below. Select the one you want to use.
4. Below the category selection you should have a case for the tag entry. You put the ”featured” tag in there. Then you go an add a featured image to your post.
You save the whole thing and then start all over the same process for a second post with the same tag named ”featured” .The carrousel, should be working even with only to pictures.
Try this and let me know if it worked.Don Felicio
