@katenokwe
This is not a theme related issue. I did reply to you here > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/sidebar-widgets-3?replies=4 -
hey, thanks.
No I used Icon 5 or 6 when making them italics not from any other source.
When I view these post individually they are fine, but when I looking at them ‘at home’ on the page they are bold
-
I fixed it thanks its was an ‘*’ on a previous post that was causing it.
I have one last inquiry… when I adding a link to my post using the icons on the editor ‘box’ the link won’t show.
In that last 5 posts I copied link from my previous posts and just edited them. This is a long way, and not very convenient. How do I fix this?

I see italics on the front page in this post “my liverpool by Derek Martin” and when I view that post on its own page I still see italics. That means we have come full circle back to what I describer that you must do in the other thread. Typically this is caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts and you must locate it and close it.
Starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal.
If it’s not, then look for an open HTML tag and close it. Check your blog again and see if it is back to normal. If it’s still “messed up” then open the next post and do the same thing post by post until it goes back to normal.
Did you use the “copy a post” feature? If so then this ought to be reported to Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

Also your problem with creating links sounds like what another user is experiencing using IE. Which browser and version of it are you using please? Do you have another browser that you can try?
-
I use Firefox
And no there it isn’t another one I can use. I use my aunt’s laptop and she doesn’t want any other browsers.

Try this first > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If it’s a browser version issue you can upgrade the browser here > http://browserhappy.comYou will have to open each post in the HTML editor and find the invalid HTML and fix it (usually an open tag) in order for the italics and/or bold lettering to be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

I wonder if you can help @timethief? Or indeed anyone else?
All of the default paragraph text on my site has turned bold. Some preemptive answers to questions you might ask are:
1. Site in question is: http://macmadeeasy.wordpress.com
2. Theme is Twenty Ten
3. My Firefox browser is up-to-date
4. Viewing in other up-to-date browsers, Safari and Chrome, it also appears bold
5. I have checked another blog I follow that uses the Twenty Ten theme and it also appears bold
6. However … I also have 3 other blogs registered, but set as private, 2 of these have Twenty Ten theme, one has Misty Look – all appear bold, both TT & ML themes.
7. The italicised text looks the way it should, i.e. non-bold and italics
8. I have looked for open HTML tags and can’t find any
9. Under Settings > Writing “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” is checked and saved
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Mufidah
