Book creation

  I want to “Write a Book” using your instructions on the Support page, but cannot find the “Front Page Displays” item on “Settings>Readings> My Settings>reading menu does not seem to have this option.

  The instructions sound simple, although a bit tedious, but I can’t get started. I have added a “Front” page and “chapters” page already within the juneunderwoodpaintings blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thanks sacred path, but it didn’t help. I already saw that on your Write a book instructions.

  Possibilities for this problem, which seems like one of those “duh” things:

  I’m on the wrong page.
  I’m not seeing an option.
  The formatting has changed since I began with WordPress but my settings options didn’t.
  There’s something I’m not seeing or understanding.

  That would be the right page. All wordpress.COM blogs have the same settings pages.

  Are you signed in as an administrator? Only administrators would have the ability to change blog settings.

  If you are logged in as an administrator, log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.

  I am logged in as an administrator. I could see the options on my southeastmain blog, which was the primary (of 3) blogs, so I changed juneunderwoodpaintings to “primary” blog, refreshed the page, and then again cleared the cache.

  The option “front page displays” still doesn’t appear in settings>reading on the juneunderwoodpaintings but does on southeastmain.

  I’m stumped. Maybe I didn’t clear the cache completely or correctly? I will run crap cleaner and shut down the computer and start over again and see what happens. Back in an hour or so.

  This is too weird.

  I have cleared the cache, ran c-cleaner, closed down and restarted the computer. I can find the “front page displays” on two of my three blogs — it shows up on southeastmain, on junomain (raggedclothcafe), but not on juneunderwoodpaintings. I am administrator on all three blogs.

  Any more ideas? Can you take a look and see if you can see it?
