Book Lite help: post's category not showing up

Hello! I am having a problem with the Book Lite theme. I saw on the demo, and on other Book Lite blogs, that a post’s category is normally listed at the top, under the post’s title. So it is supposed to say “Posted on February 16, 2013 by Michelle under Category.” For some reason, mine isn’t showing the “under Category” part, even when I’ve assigned a post to a category. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!

Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages created by the software when we publish posts into the custom menu. (There must be one published post in any category for it to display.)

Hmm, thanks for your response. I am not sure, however, that my problem has to do with creating a custom menu. I just want my individual post to be labeled with the category that I assigned to it. So for example, if I have a post, and I assigned “Book Review” to it, I just want the individual post to be visibly labeled “Book Review.” I don’t need a “Book Review” custom menu. Does that make sense? With other themes, this labeling happens automatically, and I see it on the demo for this theme, so I’m assuming that it’s possible.

I really appreciate your help with this! Unfortunately, I have looked at those pages, but I don’t think either addresses the issue. I have successfully created categories and assigned them to posts. My list of categories also appears on my blog, in my footer. The problem is the individual post itself isn’t showing its category.

You will see that in the demo, each post has a byline that says, “Posted on Date under Category.” Whereas in mine, the post simply says, “Posted on Date.” I’m just trying to get mine to also say “Posted on Date under Category.” It’s just weird because with other themes, the category information appears automatically on the individual post.

Your categories should display as expected, as soon as you have posts assigned to more than one category.
This is a functionality that you will find in many WordPress themes, since categorizing blog posts makes a lot more fun when there are multiple categories.Please let me know if that did not solve the issue.

Thanks, Konstantin, that did work for me. There are some posts, though, that I just want to have one assigned category. And it seems that this theme does allow for that. See this example: http://blissinimages.wordpress.com/

Oh, I’m sorry, I did not express my self good enough. :(
You just need to have at least two categories with each having at least one post assigned to them, for the categories to be displayed in general.
It is not necessary for posts to have at least two categories each.My bad.
