Booking and subscription services

    Hi,

    I have recording studios I want to promote. I want my clients to book studios from my website. I also want clients to be able to buy subscription tiers, where they pay a monthly sum and it gives them a certain number of free hours of studio time per month. If they exceed this allowance, then they pay those extra hours at the normal price. I suppose it would work as a credit system, or vouchers.

    Is that something I can do on WordPress with the different plugins? (I haven’t built the site here yet, waiting to see if WordPress is the right choice).

    Ok so this is totally possible with WooCommerce, which is an ecommerce plugin which allows you to create an online store with WordPress.com.

    Booking functionality isn’t something that comes out of the box with WooCommerce, and so you would need the WooCommcerce Booking and Reservations add-on https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-bookings/ that would allow you to take bookings.

    This is a good demo site on how a booking site, whereby booking evolve around time would function: https://themes.woocommerce.com/hotel/

    This is also possible with WooCommerce Memberships and Subscriptions:

    You would need some kind of credit system in place for that.

    I think with the above, you would most likely need to think about how to fulfil that on a day to day basis, it may be the case that you update members account accordingly as they come and go…

    To note, in order to run all of the above on WordPress.com, you would need the business plan:

    As above, it is something that can be done on WordPress, and as a start, you would need the above plugins, that you would need to install and configure.

    Lastly, is there a website out there you’re looking to emulate, or any designs you like? Maybe we can look to cherry pick some of those features for that project.
