Booking App – Scanning QR Code Method

    i am interested in this plugin:
    https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-bookings/

    However I can not find documentation on how EXACTLY I can check in a customer with a bar code.

    I understand this plugin is required: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-order-barcodes/

    The part that is NOT clear is when the buyer brings me the bar code print out –

    1. with what do I scan it?
    2. how is that notification getting to the plugin so I know they had the appointment
    3. how does the customer get confirmation their QR code was scanned.

    Is there an APP that works perfectly with this? ( note the one you link to is no longer supported)

    please walk me thru a real example of the above 1 – 3 steps

    The reviews are not great and $329 investment with app and bard code app – I am not able to devote time to ‘testing’ – so please have a specialist with use case explain in detail.

    in fact it doesnt help.

    furthermore the link you sent – there is no clear place to submit a ticket.

    what is the logic here, I submit a question, then have to submit the same question in a 2nd location but encouraged to buy becuase there is a 30day money back deal…

    WooCommerce is not usually supported here as these forums provide support for WordPress.com hosted websites.

    If your site is self-hosted and built using the WordPress.org open software, you’ll need to seek assistance from their forums which can be found at:

    In general, if you have WooCommerce installed on a WordPress.com Business Plan or have a paid WooCommerce extension on a self-hosted site you can open a ticket while logged into your account at:

    https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

    You can click on the Before You Buy tab and submit your question to WooCommerce staff.

    But, for presales questions such as the one you have, you can also contact:

    It’ll have you go through a few filters before you can select the option to reach support. WooCommerce staff would be happy to assist you in either the forums or through the contact form.

    This is the 2nd response and again not useful.

    the second time I am re-directed to a link that is not useful.

    the $249 plugin is not for sale in the forum, so why suggest I ask a forum – to waste my time from a user that is not directly connected to the plugin software, no thanks.

    so far as I can see there is ZERO support or knowledgeable staff for a $250 product unless #1 I am hosting my site at wordpress.com ( which I am not) or #2 I buy the $249 software with a 30 day money back ( which is a waste of time if it does not solve a business problem which I was trying to do here)

    so – you 2 staff members – what value are you giving users? and wordpress.com you are selling software for $100’s to people that get no answers for pre-sale questiosn without jumping thru hoops…

    paid plugins add up to $1000’s of dollars per site – we stick to the ones that provide support – ESPECIALLY when you want a recurring fee.

    I understand your frustration, but again, we do not provide support for WooCommerce in these forums or even presale questions. It is outside the scope of the support we provide here.

    I did a bit of searching and the WooCommerce Barcodes support document provides information on the various different devices you can use to scan the barcode (phone, tablet, usb scanner, etc):

    WooCommerce staff moderate and respond to questions in that forum. If you have questions about a particular plugin before purchase, that is the official place to post your inquiry.

    If your questions are not answered in the support doc provided above, posting in the forums or submitting an inquiry via the contact form (where a ticket will be generated for WooCommerce staff to assist you via email) is the best bet.

    then on the forum they say that cant discuss paid plugins

    and there is NO form submit a ticket

    day 3 and nobody even attempts to answer – seem there is zero product knowledge – only encouragement to buy.
