booking.com affiliate verification

    Hi,

    is there anyway I can verify my booking.com affiliate code on the free plan? We are not wanting to upgrade the blog just yet as we are still undecided between here and .org – is there any way or shall we just give in and go .org?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    I’m afraid the verification methods through booking.com aren’t possible via WordPress.com’s free plans – you can’t add meta tags (except for a few linked services available from Settings -> Traffic , which don’t include any affiliate service sites) nor can you add a HTML page with only one line of code in it as provided by booking.com. You can verify with these methods for a site using the WordPress.org software and hosted elsewhere though.

    You may want to contact booking.com to find out what their manual verification methods are, but as you can’t access theme files (or DNS settings without a custom domain) your verification options will be limited here at WordPress.com with a free plan.

    Hi there,

    Can you please post Booking.com’s code here for me so I can take a look? Use the “code” button before and after posting your code so it doesn’t get stripped out.

    If the code doesn’t contain any iframes or JavaScript it might work if you paste it into an HTML widget on your site’s sidebar.
