  I was wondering since I have the Free word press , Is there away to add a border around photos AND dividers between blog post and sidebar gadgets ?

  I see you’ve figured out how to add a border by editing the image HTML code directly.

  To change the dividers only would require CSS code on our Premium Plan, but you can also change them by changing the text color for the entire site.

  To do that, go to My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Colors and backgrounds. Click the button that says Palettes, and then click on the text color button to change that:
