Border around photos changed to brown. How do I get it back to white?
-
I have been using WordPress since 2009 and I had this issue twice before. I always use a white border with my images (with captions) because it looks best and that was the default color. Then, one day, I noticed the border around the images was brown. I couldn’t figure why that happened so I got on a chat with support. I had a Premium for several years but due to lack of funds and income, I had to use the free membership. So, before when I had the issue the person I was chatting with fixed the problem but I don’t know how. Now, I can’t chat with anyone because I have a free blog… SO, how do I fix it or can a tech fix it for me. Email me at (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thanks! Lonnie

Hi Lonnie,
Please go to My Site>Design>Customize>Colors&Backgrounds and click on Palettes. You will find there a brown circle, the same shade as your image frames. Click on that circle and choose a different color.
Make sure to Save the changes when you’re done.
I hope that helps :)

Well, I worked on that idea. Then when I click on save and checked the blog the colors went back wrong again. GEEZ! The background color needs to be dark green with a white border around the images. If I don’t write a caption there is no border, which is fine. But, when I write a caption the border needs to be white.

Hi, could you let us know the exact colors you’re using? You can get the hex codes and share them here. Then, if you don’t mind, we’ll attempt changing this on our side, so we can attempt to see what you’re seeing.

The background color is supposed to be dark green and I need the border around the photos to be white. Hex code?

I had been gone for a few hours and when I returned the background color was brown and the border around the photos was white… I am not sure if someone from Wordpess did that or what. ANYWAY, I went in and changed the background color to dark green again and the border around the photo remained white. Earlier, when I did that, the border color kept changing back to brown. WHAT A RELIEF!
Maybe it worked earlier but I had to X out of Safari for the change to take effect after saving…

Maybe, I’m thinking your color change earlier should have fixed it, so I’m glad to hear it’s all set now!

I think it did but then I screwed up again. :) I don’t know why the color changed in the first place but I am glad it is back to normal. The white background looks so much better and the captions can be clearly read. Thanks, both of you, for our help.

Glad you’ve got it. You’re welcome to use default colors or adjust your palette as you like.
