Border issues…

Hi folks, my knowledge of CSS is rather poor and I was wondering if someone could help me with a little problem I’ve encountered.

I’m using the Sandbox template, and you can see my current progress here: http://dersteppenwolf85.wordpress.com

Ok – the borders: to make the borders on each side I’ve just used “border-left:330px; border-right:330px;”, but when I window the browser, the side borders remain fixed and the content in the middle gets… well… squashed. I want everything to remain ‘fixed’ so nothing will move with the window if it is decreased in size. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say – I know I’m not expressing it very well.

I did try utilising the ‘position’ command inside div#content and the values ‘absolute’, ‘static’ and ‘relative’, but they did nothing – well, when I placed ‘absolute’ inside div#header it made my header image disappear. And I rather liked that image.

    Could anyone help?

Ahem, thanks for the help. Anyway, I got it working; turns out I did need to use ‘position: absolute;’ – I just hadn’t specified a ‘width’ for the body, so everything was collapsing in on itself.
