Borders and Shading? Blix
-
Hi – for each of our posts and stickies we would like it to have a slight border and light shading behind each so it is easier on the eye. Too much white space. How do I do this?
Also, I would like to make the screen space around the actual blog space a solid color so that the blog stands out (like the blog is the paper, and it’s on a dark table). Let me know if that’s confusing.
Seems like these should be pretty easy changes. Thank you so much for any help.

Here’s one way of doing it. Feel free to change the colours and border properties, I’ve just used a lighter version of your green logo colour for the background and a very light grey for the posts.
body {background-color:#92a59d;}
#container {background-color:#ffffff;}
.post {padding: 10px; border:1px dashed #cccccc; background-color:#fafafa;}lh

Thank you – worked perfectly!! Do you know how I can put a border around the widget content to make it a box and not hanging content? If you also know how to make the comment title text size in the Comments widget come down that will solve all my problems :-)
