    My Jetpack stats are skewed by thousands of bot views from a specific country. Shouldn’t the Jetpack service include bot filtering?

    bot views are part of the internet but are completely harmlouss, so I wouldn”t barm about them.

    Bot networks are constantly changing and becoming more sophisticated. 

    The best thing to do is report this directly to the Jetpack team. Also, you can contact the WordPress.com support team through the help area of your dashboard. Let them know that you are seeing a large volume of suspected bot traffic from a specific country in your Jetpack Stats.

    When you give them the details, their data team can investigate and add those specific bots to their global filtering system. This not only helps clean up your stats but also improves the service for everyone else.

    Thank you for reporting this @martens0cwa! Yes, Jetpack does handle bot filtering and the system continuously learns and improves to better identify and exclude bot traffic from the stats.

    I also agree with @staartmees. These traffic could either be genuine visits (sometimes from VPNs) or automated bot activity. If it’s the latter, our systems will keep adapting to help ensure your stats become more accurate over time.

    In the meantime, please rest assured that we’re monitoring similar reports closely. If we detect any widespread patterns, we’ll update our filtering systems accordingly.

    • Use WordPress.com Stats filters
