Botched install?

Too make a long story short we had someone setup our site and now there’s lots of problems and Im stuck trying to find out whats wrong. I have never used WordPress in the pass, so Im basically screwed :(
The main problem is the site loads slower than molasses and we have no clue why. I dont wanna post the url, cause of a certain person maybe trying to find his way back in. If you’d like to help or take a look I can PM your the url. Please and thank you! -
Hi there, WordPress comes in 2 flavors: the fully hosted WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and the open source WP (org) project at https://wordpress.org This support guide explains some of the differences between them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are referring about a site using the standalone WP software, you’ll want to post at the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on that page.
If you are not sure where you are hosted, you can check your site’s nameservers by doing a whois check for your domain name at https://whois.icann.org/en
