both static picture and blog posts on front page

    I would like to show one static picture at the top of my homepage and below that my blog posts. How can I do this? (with the widget, it’s too small)

    another question: my readers can post blogs on their on with the button ‘bewerken’ (dutch version), what do I need to change in my settings to make sure that they can’t do that anymore?

    The best way to do this would be to set a custom header image following the instructions here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-header-image/

    Then, set the “Front Page” back to display your latest posts here:

    https://zencentrumdenbosch.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

    This way, your header image will still be displayed and your posts will appear on your home page.

    Are you referring to blogs posted directly to your site? Only the blog owner and other blog users (not readers) on the site can post to it. Could you clarify where the readers are posting to?

    That’s exactly what they can do: post to my blog. I authorised them as readers, but when they’re on my site, they see (and can use) a button with the word ‘bewerken’ (translation: edit). When they use this button, they can add new blog posts (text or picture).
