Bottom Horizontal Lines/Bars
-
Hi. On the bottom of my blog posts there are a number of horizontal lines. In particular there are two that have nothing between them, the first of them coming after the tags. I’ve looked for ways to remove at least one of the lines creating this dead gap, have also searched forums and online to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated. x
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I had a look on your blog & found these lines might be coming because you are not entering any post details while creating a blog post.
I will recommend you to please disable the post details by going on My Sites → Customize → Content Options & uncheck the things you don’t want to display in your post.
Please refer this article for more details:

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Everything displayed I want to see except for the blank space between the two horizontal lines. I’ve checked and unchecked every option in the sections in the link, but nothing gets rid of that. The link provided talked of an author bio and I thought perhaps I’d left it blank but selected showing it, however my theme doesn’t show the bio author option to select it.
I’m wondering if there is maybe a fault in the code (which I haven’t touched) and that one of the horizontal lines is meant to be at the top of the main body of text perhaps?
Thank you for the help!

Hi there,
Please help me with the theme name you’re using?
I am leaving the “modlook” tag in the sidebar calling for staff attention.
Thanks!

Hi themedusaprotocol,

The horizontal lines you are referring to are also displayed on the Hemingway Rewritten theme demo site:

It’s a design feature of the theme rather than bug. The top line is displayed at the bottom of the post (under the tags), the other two lines mark the top and bottom of the next and previous post area.
These lines could be removed by adding custom CSS — however CSS is only available with our Premium and Business plan so you would need to upgrade in order to make the change.
I hope this helps clear things up :)

Thank you both so much for the help and assistance. That all makes sense. And while I can’t remove it at the moment, it certainly helps knowing that’s as it can’t be moved rather than I can’t figure out how.
Best regards :)

You’re very welcome. If you ever decide you want to try using CSS to remove the lines, I’m happy to help with that :)
