Bought a .com with WP for my new blog. Help.

    Ok, I’ve a couple of blogs but this time I chose to buy a .com and host directly with WP. Why is it my “plugins” and “editor” is missing my my sidebar? How do I access my ftp? Hosting with a third party gives me all the flexibility, am I missing something? Please help, I really need to access my plugins, editor and preferably FTP too.

    WordPress.com is a blog host. WordPress.com blogs don’t have plugins or theme editors, you can’t use FTP either.

    It sounds like you have a standard WordPress.com blog and you bought a custom domain name. That is NOT the same as having a WordPress.org blog. You will have to find hosting somewhere else if you want plugins, theme and php access, and the ability to use FTP.
