  Hi,

  I bought a domain from godaddy. How do i connect it to me wordpress blog?

  Hi there,

  To connect a domain to your WordPress.com blog you need to purchase a plan. Each plan comes with one domain credit which can be used to register a new domain or map a domain you already own (your case).

  Hi thanks for replying. So if I have to buy a plan from wordpress anyway shouldn’t I just cancel godaddy purchase and buy the entire plan from WordPress itself?

  Do I have to buy hosting either way?

  If you cancel your domain at GoDaddy it may be difficult and it may take some time to get that same domain again on WordPress.com. Also, note that WordPress.com doesn’t allow incoming domain transfers at the moment.

  If you want to use that domain on a WordPress.com hosted blog you have to purchase a plan and map the domain.
