Bought domain name linked to existing blog

  I bought a domain name and it is linked to an existing blog. the new name is blotnbyte. How do I set up the new domain name as a separate website?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @awillcocks,

  So, you purchased a domain and you would like to change your blog’s domain from the <yourname>.wordpress.com domain to <yournewdomainname>.com; is that correct?

  To do the same, you would have to purchase the domain mapping upgrade to WordPress. Once you’ve purchased the domain mapping upgrade (and entered the address of your new domain), you will have to change the nameservers of your domain to the default values of WordPress, viz:

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  This should effectively activate domain mapping, and your blog would now be completely linked to your new domain. :)
