Bought New Domain with GoDaddy, but I only have a free account on WP

    Hello,

    I have bought a domain with GoDaddy simply so I can remove the “wordpress” from my url on current site on WP. The thing is I have a free account with WP, so my question is, is it possible to reroute my website to the new domain url without losing SEO, with a free account? Or do I need to upgrade on WP to even have that option of moving domains, as all the tutorials online seem to suggest. Seems silly to have even bought the domain with GoDaddy if I could’ve just upgraded on WP…. Thank you!
