Box.net widget no longer working
-
Hi
I love this widget and for ages it was working perfectly.
But just a few weeks ago it stopped working completely and I can’t fix the problem.
I have tried re-entering the embed code, but there seems to be a bug and it doesn’t take any notice that I have saved the new code.
This is the embed code that is in the widget admin area at the moment
<embed src=”http://www.box.net/static/flash/box_explorer.swf?widgetHash=&cl=0″ width=”170″ height=”250″ wmode=”transparent” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”></embed>
But this is what it should say
<embed src=”http://www.box.net/static/flash/box_explorer.swf?widget_hash=1e3rfzhfay&v=0&cl=0″ width=”170″ height=”250″ wmode=”transparent” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”></embed>
I save the widget everytime, but it still goes back to the first code and I can’t get it to delete the first lot of code. So the widget just says “Sorry, no folder is currently displayed” :o(
Please help me to fix this? Thanks
Jane

I believe your in the wrong forum.
See the sticky above on the difference between wordpress.COM and wordpress.ORGyou want the wordpress.ORG forum

No, I’m in the right forum. I use WordPress.com, not .org.
The Box.net widget is for my wordpress.com blog, but it’s stopped working :o(
Any ideas? I’m having no response from Box.net themselves.

@brandingpower, the site linked to your username is not a wordpress.com blog, so we won’t be able to help you with that.
@janefinch, it definitely is a problem on wordpress.com’s end. I just tried to add a box.net widget to my knitting site and it does not save the code as given from box.net. Contact support directly. http://support.wordpress.com/contact/

hey gang. i may be late to the party, but i thought i’d report that my box.net widget IS working.
@ janefinch… i’m like you, i really like this widget.

@rschsbowman-the box.net widget that I added to my non-knitting site nearly two years ago is also working perfectly (knock wood), but not the one I tried now to add to my knitting site. The embed code resets itself. Won’t even save the width and height info.
In any event, I logged a support ticket.

Long story short, after several back and forth emails with Support, they are currently looking into a bug with the widget.

Box.net changed their code a bit. Our side has been updated to accomodate. Please try adding your Box.net embed code again now.

@mtdewvirus-don’t know if the OP is still reading, but for me perfect and using the embed folder code from inside my box.net account too.
