Brand new blogger – problem showing ohotos

How do I get photos to show in a post? I tried attaching them but it (a) doesn’t do it, and (b) they don’t show.
Can I link from Flickr or my web page and get them to show?
And is there an ideal size to use when inserting/attaching/linking?
Any help, and please keep it in simple steps, this is a steep learning curve for an old lady, much appreciated.

The best practice for uploading images is to optimize and presize them offline and then upload them into your posts or pages. Are these the instructions you followed?

Can you find the images which are not displaying for you in your Media Library?

Will you please post the URLs for the posts/or pages that you cannot see images you uploaded in as well as the URLs for the images themselves.
