Brand New to Word Press
-
I’ll soon be using Word Press for the first time to host a class. I need to learn how to a) post my syllabus; b) create a page for each assignment where students can post their poems; and c) provide a space where students can comment on one another’s work. I’m not a digital native, so I need simple and clear instructions!

Hi, and Welcome to WordPress.com =)
I think you will be able to accomplish what you are inquiring about.
Please read the differences between posts and pages:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/I would suggest that you post the class syllabus as an image or as page. You will not need to edit the syllabus often, so its a good candidate to be set as a page.

Thanks, Liz! Between your advice and that of a tech-minded student, I should have my site up and running well before the end of the month, my target date.
