brand new user, completely locked out.

i signed up for a new account and every time i clicked the activation link in my email it said error invalid activation key (or something to that effect). so i figured i would start fresh, and closed my account but now when i try to sign up again it says my email is already in use, but then it wont let me sign in. so now im completely locked out. pretty awful set up for a brand new user.
i also cant even access support unless i use a separate email with a different new account. I would like to reactivate or start fresh with my original email.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

ugh, that is a frustrating situation you’ve landed up in. I can help, though :)
Let’s start by getting the old account reactivated. Can you tell me the username you used there?
Also, there’s an email sent out when the account got deleted. Find that email, and reply to us directly there, writing that the account was closed in error. Then we can restore the account and sort out the activation for you.
Once all of this is done, you can close down the duplicate account, or keep it, either way is fine.
