brand new,and i'm not sure if what i want requires custom design

  hello,

  on my home page all i want is one single image. that’s it. one image in the center that you click on that takes you into the site.

  then i want to have all of the varying pages have different looks, and on zero pages do i want to have a blog….

  we’re testing out wordpress as being a possibility for the university of washington school of drama… and we need it to be idiot proof, and with low code knowledge …

  any help would be useful.

  Unfortunately, you can’t set a single image to the home page, but can assign a page with an image on it to be the front page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
