Breaking A Long Post
-
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I was wondering how to break my post. My posts tend to be long and I would like to whet the appetite of the reader by showing a little of the post and then have them click “More” (if this option is available). This will encourage more readers than those who are intimidated by the long posts.
Any suggestions?

As you asked for a suggestion, here it is:
Write a title! Insert an Image. And link it to more tag by this way:
<img src =”http://img.url.com/img.png” alt=”Click Here To Read the Full Article”>
Note: Here 1825 (say) is the unique id of your post. -

I’m confused what the benefit is in using an image in the More tag. You can already customize the “Read More” text by following the instructions in the Support doc tsp linked to above.

@wpgaurav-You can’t, which is why it is important to be sure of your answer before you hit the “submit” button.

@justjennifer Thanks! Now I’ll take care of it.

If and only if, one is doing experiments with ‘more’ tag. Otherwise I love Continue Reading…I’ve a question, we can customise more tag with text – can we do this with an Image too?
