  Can someone please advise how to fix this error on both the websites I look after – I am VERY inexperienced!

  Hello there, could you share the site addresses that having the error? The site address (bats.net.au) looks good to me.

  Neither of the sites in your account are hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software. While you’re able to manage those sites via your WordPress.com account, thanks to the Jetpack plugin, we have no control over the sites themselves and we cannot help with problems on those sites in the WordPress.com forums.
